Electrify America Charging Station

"Update: these chargers have been fixed and were working the last two times we used them Three of the six chargers are offline. Unfortunately. When they work they charge quickly, but finding a working one is challenging. It doesn't seem like anyone maintains public charging infrastructure anywhere and this is no exception."

"I visited the Electrify America charging station near Waco, Texas, and while it's rated at 350W, I found that most cars can only take about 100 to 140W. This limitation is due to the EV’s equipment, not the charging station itself. The station is clean and well-maintained, but it's important for EV drivers to know that their vehicle's charging capabilities might not fully utilize the station's potential. Hopefully, future EV models will support higher charging rates."

"Pricey, but convenient. It's less than a mile off the highway at a Walmart and next to fast food places. Just know you're overpaying if you are stopping here."

"Paid for the subscription and the app rarely works, it just sits there trying to start the charge until the station times out. Have had several calls with support, they can't do anything to help. Avoid, plenty of better and cheaper stations that go just as fast (since they rarely do the rated amount)."

"Came in at 13% and was only pulling 64KW charging rate. This was after preconditioning for over 45 minutes before charging. Cadillac, lyric, very poor performance. All stalls, we're in use, set for one that was broken and out of maintenance. Had to wait in line for 20 minutes to get a stall."
