"The charger itself worked perfectly with my electroverse card. The overall experience was easily the worst we’ve had. This service station was extremely busy when we arrived near to lunchtime. The chargers had a heroic staff member trying to manage a queuing system to keep it fair. The weak link was an obnoxious looking British guy wearing a backwards cap who had decided to charge his black BMW to 100% no matter what. There’s no law against it but it is so inconsiderate when so many people are waiting for a turn. I waited around 50mins to get plugged in. We were on 13% on arrival and had a long journey ahead. I charged to around 60% and moved on. Another thing that made this a bad spot was the queues for the toilets which were out of the building at times. The message I want everyone to receive is please don’t try and charge to 100% at busy times. The last 10% is very slow. It is more efficient use of time to stop after 80-90% and then hit the road. Also if your payment doesn’t work it doesn’t usually mean the charger is broken. Have multiple payment methods at the ready and if you’re a UK driver the Electroverse card will almost always work the best."
